 Join Sana-Bella for a mid-week 2-day Calligraphy workshop which will harness your creativity. The BRC will provide the ideal backdrop for bamboo and glass pen swirlings.
This English Calligraphy course will cover the Italic, Uncial, and Gothic - Lucida Blackletter scripts. "The letter-form contours create a symphony on the page that is at once mesmerising, traditional and aesthetically elaborate," says Sana-Bella. "Participants will make an impression by advancing their skills in decorative handwriting. The process is meditative and self-affirming." She has a Master of Social Science degree in Cultural and Media Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. In 2019 she was selected as a participant in the American Arts Incubator – South Africa at KZNSA Gallery, Durban and on International Artist Day 2020, she founded ArtScribes Global. This creative collective serves as a vehicle for the English and Arabic Calligraphy, and Art in the Park Workshops she facilitates. Two years later, she launched the ArtScribes Global publishing house – a collective which aspires for creative dreams and poetic arts to grow wings. Her collection of prose and poetry “Lockdown Lift-off” was launched recently at Ike’s Books and Collectables in Durban.

  We invite you to a weekend of tuning your instrument (your body heart and soul) through sacred and celebratory music, meditation and contemplation and morning attunement through breath, voice and mantra. Gentle body movement - neigong and kundalini yoga, biodanza and song circles, nature observation and meditation will also be explored. There will be ample time to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Centre, and of course the delicious meals. It is in the participation of the shared experience of sound that brings great peace and healing into our hearts and to the world.

She has facilitated countless song circles, sound meditations and creative processes in a variety of settings. Her most poignant experiences of flow, Divinity and unity have been in these shared creative experiences.
Eleen Polson is a counselling psychologist specialising in expressive arts therapy and trauma release. Her personal spiritual practices are Neigong and Kundalini Yoga, which she weaves into Embodied Wisdom Group sessions - deeply transformative experiences for health care professionals. She is a very experienced Biodanza facilitator. Eleen and Christel have worked together for years in different offerings.
