Dates:
Join Despina for 5 days of therapeutic yoga, therapeutic sound and mindfulness practice to cultivate well-being in a more informal manner. She will be offering two yoga classes per day in the studio which include meditation, breath practice and therapeutic sound (morning and afternoon) - with plenty of time to go at your own pace in between and to opt in or out of the guided practices. A daily morning meditation practice will be offered in the meditation hall. You are invited to join this retreat in supportive Noble silence. There will be scheduled time available for individual intentional discussion offered. Mindful body-awareness practices such as yoga and mindfulness meditation can help us cultivate somatic (body) intelligence and awareness of the sense of the body and how it moves. When we cultivate awareness of our felt sense of self, this provides an intuitive guide and possibilities for reflection that can support appropriate and healthy decisions in our lives. We will be exploring therapeutic yoga, drawing from yin and hatha yoga, breath practice, therapeutic sound and mindfulness practices.
Combining these practices of movement and relative stillness, with both therapeutic sound and quiet, creates powerful possibilities for insight, transformation and healing for the body, mind, and heart.

She studied her undergraduate and Masters degree abroad and returned to South Africa in 2004 where she continues to practise. She undertook the 200-hour Yoga teacher training under the guidance of Christine Withiel at Jivananda Centre For Well-Being in 2016, completed the Level 1 (100-hour) Insight Yoga training with Sarah Powers in 2017 and furthered her 300-hour training with Yogrishi Vishvekthu, Akhanda Yoga in Rishikesh, India, in 2019. During this retreat, Corinna will connect you to your inner light and wisdom, discovering the archetype of your Sun - the masculine, yang, extroverted outward-radiating nature of your being, and the Moon - the feminine yin, receptive, internalized, reflective nature. She will translate the language of Astrology, working with your natal birth chart's Sun and Moon to guide your journey of self-discovery and explore SoulCollage© imageboards. Duncan will balance these two subtle energies with yoga sessions to create equilibrium in body, mind and soul.

She realized Astrology is an insightful tool to recognize unique personalized individuality. She believes that a deeper self-understanding, self-compassion and self-tolerance of one's capabilities and weaknesses minimize suffering while accentuating life's benefits. She is also a qualified SoulCollage© facilitator.
Duncan Rice offers community-based yoga at "Yogam Yoga" in Durban. He has studied and lived in India for many years and has followed the teachings of Patanjali (Ashtanga Yoga), Ayurveda and Hatha Yoga which are laid down in some of the oldest texts of yoga. His yoga is rooted in ancient tradition passed down by the teachers over thousands of years teaching that we are a multi-layered being from our physical body to your subtle body. Yoga is about creating health and equilibrium in our body, calming the mind and allowing us to be in touch and at peace with our true self.
