Wanda Hennig is an award-winning food and travel writer who has freelanced extensively for print and online publications both internationally and locally. She worked in South Africa in the newsrooms of the
Daily News and
Sunday Tribune and as bureau chief at
Cosmopolitan magazine before going to live in the San Francisco Bay Area. There, she worked on magazines and newspapers, in corporate communications, and in multimedia and social media. She has a post-graduate degree in psychology and a Higher Diploma in Education (both from UKZN) and is a certified Co-Active Life Coach (Coaches Training Institute, California). She lived and practised at the
San Francisco Zen Centre for three-and-a-half years in the 1990’s, has been meditating for 30 years, and has run mindfulness, writing and coaching workshops in California and South Africa - including at the BRC. She is the author of
